The Place is Jumping

Classes all over the place and the Studios too, Spring has sprung. Al Franz Studio, Dream To Dance Studio and The Arthur Murray Studios getting some good fans. Dancing is beginning to pick up.

"There is no characteristic of human nature that is as exchangeable

as courtesy. You give it and it is returned. Even years later, people

will remember if you were courteous or rude."

Everyone still waiting for the Fred Astaire Studio which has been holding back for a few decades. Hopefully they will locate in Kapolei.

We have many excellent social dancers that have been learning and dancing for years. Some have have phased over into "Semi-Pros" and may now be wishing to become pros.

The good part, they are willing and more than able to teach people how to dance. And I did not say Competition kind dancing. There it is, it is up to them. I still say, "Go West, Young Man."

Then we have the unofficial "Semi-Pros" which some have said there is no such thing. They are still around trying to hustle a few bucks here and there. They range from the benevolent ones to the ones that "take you for everything you've got." They will always be there. Those are the rules of the game.

And as so many of our social dancers are finding out. You don't "make" your body move to the music. You "let" your body move to the music. There is a difference.
