Necessary Update

A Dance Blog site is ordinarily much more current than a Dance Web site. Most everyone understands that. And each type of site has its value to the Dance Community.
"Each time a person stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of
others, or strikes out against injustice, they send forth a tiny ripple of hope...
and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and
daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest
walls of oppression and resistance."

That value can best be established by the counter not by some "connoisseur" of advertising media. In these blogs, I can try "this" and if it doesn't work, I can try "that." But for sure, I do not do it for the value of "my art." The reader/dancers are my prime purpose. And I must know who, why and how many are tuning in to the few bits of dance news I am able to gather. And the more the merrier.

Sometimes I get "flyer kine" news with something that is going to happen "TONIGHT." I may not blog until tomorrow or even the next day, so I hope some out there will understand. I have a full 24/7 schedule and I try to plan things more or less for the week. Some just muddy the waters. Thank heavens, I am getting a little help here and there.

Waikiki is definitely out as far as our blogs are concerned. Apparently their outlook is that they contribute much more for us, than we do for them, after all, they are "Class." Not only that but they all have a "Web Site" which means they are already set. They simply do not understand blogging just yet. Perhaps next year we can try again.  Meanwhile, we have an awful lot of work ahead of us outside of Waikiki.

Because of the tremendous amount of hits (way ahead of whatever is in second place,) Town Dancer blog is still slated to be the first one, as Social Media, to go independent. We are just waiting for those two special people that would like to share their views and photos with their fellow dancers, but they must make the decision. As expected, the hits will then go through the roof and the sky is the only limit.

Of course anyone can start by just becoming an information contributor. Just email it in, tell us what blog and a photo or two would certainly help. The best place to start, and yes, the readers/dancers need it. "Geeve it to dem."

Pub's Side Note: You want to see a good example of blogging? Tune in  to Platinum Horsehoe blog. Tim Cubero's coverage of Kapolei Chapter HBDA social with photos and all. The hits on the Platinum Horseshoe blog are going thru the ceiling.
