Knick Knacks

I found this in an old Dancing in the Dark minizine.

of happiness or have gone stark raving mad."

Salsa in Waimanalo
By Michael Kirihara

Salsa arrived at Waimanalo District Park on Friday, May 23 at 7 PM. The natives were waiting on park benches, anxiously waiting to step onto the dance floor. Several of the regulars from Debby's Saturday night party made the trek and were pleasantly surprised with the majestic beauty of the area.

The natives were restless and we all danced past the ten PM reservation. One of the girls was so thrilled with the experience, she made the trip to Dream to Dance on Saturday, and was last seen dancing steady for well over three hours.

It was later reported by two ladies in attendance that it was the most fun they have had in years. Two others who could not make the event mentioned that each could bring four couples and want to know if future events are planned. May the journey and adventure continue in Waimanalo.

"Moliendo Cafe" by Azucar Moreno

Somehow the East has never done it again. Most dancers who live in the East consider themselves town dancers, because that is where they have danced all their lives.

Theorem: The best dancers are not always the best teachers.
Corollary: The best teachers are not always the best dancers

I have actually seen this on the Internet from people that are supposed to be Professionals and suppose to be experts. (and should know better.)

Correct Cha Cha
is danced on the "Two" not the "One." Correct Cha Cha is danced side to side, not forward and back. Correct turns for Cha Cha are done in pivots, not walked with inward-pointing toes.

All of the above are"correctly" and beautifully displayed by "Whodoo and Voodoo or Whoevah."  Translation to the Spanish, Mierda!
