Week Ended Saturday, September 24th

The weekly blogs with schedules are going good in the Platinum Horseshoe and Moanalua Corridor. The week seems to be the right time frame for our reader/dancers so we shall have to try it in Club Dancer too.
"Pleasure is very seldom found where it is sought.  Our brightest blazes
are commonly kindled by unexpected sparks."

Town Dancer blog has most of the spectator sports of Ballroom Dance in Hawaii and most of the Competition dancers too. This includes coverage of most of the Extravadanzas in Honolulu. They continue to lead all others in on-line communication with the reader/dancers in the entire state of Hawaii and with good reason.

This is the Club Dancer opportunity to make contact with the American or the more Social kind of dancer which nowadays includes line dancing. Also the fact that on Oahu, line dancing has ceased to be a completely female dance activity. Though many realize that there are many more women than men, perhaps ten to one.

But the men are waking up, so we shall try here and see what evolves. Most of our potential readers/dancers will be social dancers and find pleasure in moving to the music of their choice in their own way.

"You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" by Leo Sayer

We get many email flyers and most think that is enough. We do what we can, but some will slowly pick up on the action. There can be a big difference if they send the information, timely and specially for our reader/dancers. Won't cost them a cent but 10 times more effective. So we must be patient.

This blog has been averaging much more than 34 hits per day. (1000 hits per month.) You wanna make contact? Use your head, Red. With a few more, like Arthur Murray Studios for instance, 67 average hits per day is very possible. I consider 2000 hits per month, CONTACT.

No, this is not for the exhibition or competition dancers. Dis fo' the "social" dancers and "social" dancing to da max. The ones that want to move to the music of their choice, without a lot of extraneous rules and regulations.

And they are having a ball doing it. Line dancing? Everyone having a good time honing their rhythm and style to the music that they feel. In social partner dancing they become the greatest.

Unfortunately, I will not attend. I have to wait until my new camera arrives. No use going if I cannot make the write up and take some photos too. Somebody else? They tell me that is impossible. I seem to be one of a handful in this entire world that can do that. You believe that and I am sure you believe in the tooth fairy.

Pub's Note: Those of you with additional dancing interests can get the Mary Beth Newsletter. if you’d like to be on her email list, please email your full name and city you reside in to her at:  mbvh@hotmail.com   Alternately, phone: at (808)734-7222.
