Mathias Dahlgren was recently awarded the Best New Restaurant 08 by Wallpapers. The interior, in line with Mathias Dahlgren's gastronomic philosophy, mirrors the meeting between local and global perspectives. The local proudly protects the heritage, environment and products of Sweden as the international influences opens up for new experiences, encounters and tastes. Matbaren, that can seat 50 people, have a robust and swift ambience with elegant notes of natural wood and raw Swedish primitive pieecs from the 1700s. The open kitchen allow guest to follow the concentrated work of the chefs.
The menu in Matbaren has two sides where one is based on Swedish produce and products and the other is globally inspired. Mathias Dahlgren is fortunate to share its wine cellar with Grand Hotel. In the beverage menu you can find several kinds of wines and other drinks from Sweden and the rest of the world.
