Car on a stick, Ross Lovegrove

car stick

"Car on a Stick" is a city car by day and a streetlight at night.

Lovegrove's vision : "Everyday things can be revisited. There're a lot of things that are in front of us right now which are so big that we can't see them, like the car. Our streets are infested with these large objects and the psychology of them is very bad. We haven't challenged that notion of how we feel to live with them"

The concept involves bubble-shaped cars that are powered by solar canopies on the roof. At night, the cars are stored atop telescopic poles, where they act as street lights and keep the ground level free of parked vehicles.
