Dancing Exercise

Aerobic exercise such as dancing, may stimulate the release of body chemicals that act as a kind of fertilizer for nerve cells, slowing the death of brain cells that accompanies aging. For those without partners there are many types where you can dance alone.
"Unless more people like you care an awful lot,
few things are going to get better.

So states reports in Informed Health Today, a series of complex and coordinated movements, as in dance, the brain may prevent the connections between it's neurons from wasting away as you age. Dancing even can produce a greater number of connectors, the publication notes.

The medical profession agrees. Dancing is just what the doctor ordered. The American Institute for Cancer Research reports "Dancing can provide a challenging workout. It can burn calories, tone and strengthen muscles and reduce stress."

And, the organization notes, like all forms of regular exercise, dancing can help keep weight down and lower the risk of cancer, coronary heart disease and other chronic illnesses. The Mayo Clinic notes that 10 minutes of continuous dancing can burn off from 30 to 80 calories in a person weighing 120 to 140 pounds. And 45 to 120 calories in a 200 pounder.

While that's not as great as more vigorous forms of exercise such as aerobic dance, it matches walking, and comes close to swimming or cycling. Even aside from the health benefits, there is no doubt that dancing is a great way to put more life into you life.

We are working on several new ways of getting more people involved. There is only one thing worse than no, and that is to be ignored. The No's can eventually change to yes, but the ones that ignore usually remain out. They are just not interested and we must respect that notion.

Remember the option is always yours. You always have three choices, yes, no and completely ignoring the offer. We would like everyone to understand clearly where we are coming from. We do not intend to waste our time -- or yours.

Routine flyers are nice, for a lot of people, but not as a rule for our readers. Social Media requires different methods. If  you can contribute some information direct for our readers, now that is something. It is something that is clearly not off the copy machine.
