Boogie Woogie has its roots in the European 6-count style of Rock ‘n’ Roll. Boogie Woogie is famous for its fast and smooth footwork and is usually danced to the original music of the late 40's and 50's with an emphasis on "improvisation." If you are already a lindyhopper or East Coast Swing dancer, this class will add some sizzle to your routines. Beginning dancers are welcome, but will benefit from having had some partner dancing experience.

Fancy Footwork will offer you skills which can apply to Boogie Woogie or many other dance styles. Innovative footwork can help you make each dance an original as you add in special moves and “shines” to show your creativity. A wide range of movements can make your dancing more fun and improve your coordination at the same time. Please take the Boogie Woogie class first.
The Big Apple is a classic set of jazz steps danced in a circle which is traditionally improvised and called, but ever since Frankie Manning and the rest of Whitey’s Lindy Hoppers put it on film, Frankie’s set of moves have been “THE” set of moves. You need no dance background to enjoy these up-tempo and sassy steps!

Secrets of Good Partner Dancing. Do you want to be able to dance with anybody and look great? This class will cover balance, timing, and connection with your partner. Leads will learn how to get their partners to do what they want them to safely and smoothly. Follows will learn how to look accomplished even when given unfamiliar cues. If you’re new to partner dancing, this class is a must. If you’ve been dancing for a while, this class will enhance your frame and communication skills.
Lindy for Pedestrians is an introductory course for beginning dancers and a good foundation class for experienced dancers. Get introduced to the world’s most popular swing dance, the Lindy Hop! And Universal Dancing.
Intermediate level classes; dancers should know swingout already. Lindy Hop Swingout Options. Subtle changes in leading the swingout will redirect the follow, opening up many styling possibilities.

In Secrets of Improvisation, you’ll learn how to interpret the music to create your own unique dances. Discover how to “hit the breaks” and get back “on the count” when mixing 6- and 8-count moves by understanding. Ballroom Latin Dance Made Sensible ending and anticipating the music structure. Enjoy playing with the rhythm and reflecting changes in the music’s emotions!
Balboa, a swing dance form native to Southern California which features subtle, smooth, shuffling footwork in eight counts. Four classes will be offered, introducing you to basic footwork, some popular turns and moves to dress up your dance. The fourth class will be in a “workshop” format, and will address questions and topics from the dancers. Beginners are welcome; please start with the first class before progressing to the later sessions.
