Ball controlling pressure
Ripple faucet creates a new, fun way to interact with water. An array of electromagnetic sensors detects that ball’s position. Moving the ball in or out from the center controls water pressure. Moving it around controls temperature.
Red or blue to denote how hot or cold it is. The two separate channels combine the hot and cold water to get the perfect mix. Well, the water in the hot water channel isn’t actually hot until it’s ready to be mixed via flash heating.
While it's a really cool concept, but it's quite complex for usage wise and the water pressure doesn't seems to be similar to our normal tap. Still, I quite like the design. ;)
Accessories for lonely men
Well.. for those lonely men out there, you might also want to consider this too.
Booster blades
To skate you push down in a cycle motion in order to gain speed. If you move your heel back, this engages a set of brake pads which helps you to brake. The overall experience of riding Booster Blades is fun and safe and is a completely different to anything within the skating sector.

Strap-on-chair
Another piece of furniture which we found interesting is this Crab Chair, also by Annika Schmidt. It functions like my grandfather's rocking chair, except that the design has a modern touch to it. Personally, I like the 10 crab legs in this design.

Music in the rain umbrella
Sometimes people spin an umbrella unconsciously. If you spin this umbrella to left or right, the music will move forward (right turn) or reverse (left turn). Unfortunately even though it is not raining, you still can use this umbrella. You can just put it in the corner of your living room with cradle, and then also you can enjoy the music from speakers of cradle.

Growing plants on the wall
A Lightweeds consists of a several hundred parts that are independently linked to the sensors outside, creating a hyper-real motion that is constantly live generated. At the start of the day they are few, but as the space is being used they pollenate from wall to wall and increase in amount. Their seeds travel along with passing people, and make new plants grow.
When someone passes, the plants bend and show the path of human traffic.
Lightweeds is exhibited in Rotterdam, London, New York, Paris, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing and Tokyo.
Brilliant work by Simon Heijdens. Read in details: Lightweeds.

Pepsi Globe
Food and beverage giant Pepsi has announced it will create America’s largest Ferris wheel in New Jersey. The 287-foot-tall “Pepsi Globe” will be incorporated into Meadowlands Xanadu, a unique sports, leisure, shopping and family entertainment destination in East Rutherford.
Pepsi will offer unique interactive experiences during the Pepsi Globe ride, which will last approximately 25 minutes for a full revolution and offer sweeping vistas of the New York skyline and the Hudson River. Groups of up to 20 visitors each will enter 26 glass-enclosed, climate controlled capsules for the ride of a lifetime.
The 287 foot (87 meter) Pepsi Globe is still somewhat of a minnow on a global scale. The Star of Nanchang in China currently holds the title at 525ft (160m) but the Singapore flyer is set to become the world’s tallest Ferris wheel at 541ft (165m) when it opens in March this year. The London eye stands at 443ft (135m).
Colour-blind artist learns to paint by hearing
It is a head-mounted digital camera that reads the colours directly in front of it. The camera is connected to a laptop computer, carried in a backpack, which slows down the frequency of light waves to the frequency of sound waves. The computer then sends the “sound” of each colour to an earpiece worn by Harbisson. Montandon expects the system eventually to be as small as an MP3 player.
“I used to paint rather literally,” he said. “I would stand in front of something and just paint what I saw immediately before me. Now I’m doing more abstracts and being much more free and liberal with my art.” The device has made a huge difference to Harbisson’s art, which is now his profession.

Premier adventure centre
The vision for Silvertown Quays is to create a fully integrated vibrant mixed use quarter for this rapidly expanding area of East London. It will be a place where water and land meet resulting in an exciting variety of environments for discovery, recreation and reflection, as well as for working, shopping and living.
Two large waves 1.8m high or three smaller waves 0.9 to 1.2m high will be created each minute in the surf pool. The waves 25 metres wide at the start can break from the left, right or centre before running down the pool.
A variety of bars and restaurants will surround the surf pool including a fantastic beach bar accessed from the boardwalk with steps down on to the beach. The beach bar will be everything a Hawaiian bar should be, offering the typical surf lifestyle, tropical music and serving the best cocktails in town!
